本研究旨在探討台灣特殊需求兒童的主要照顧者之健康相關因子以及不同照顧者和障礙類別的結果差異。研究利用特殊需求長期追蹤資料庫(SNELS)中101學年度的國小家長資料進行次級分析。本研究採用描述性統計、變異數分析、結構方程進行分析。驗證性因子分析則是建立在Raina的理論架構基礎上結合台灣本土情況進行優化，使模型擬合度達標。
主要研究結果如下：
一、 主要照顧者不同，對照顧者健康的影響不同。相較於其他照顧者，母親單獨照顧，對健康的消極影響更大。
二、 不同障礙類別對於照顧者的健康影響不同。其中多重障礙、自閉症和肢體障礙對健康的影響較為顯著。
三、 主要照顧者不同，路徑不同，關注重點不同。在家庭中，父母更傾向於關注整個家庭的功能發揮，而父親則會關注兒童溝通功能和家庭功能的共同發揮。而母親則會更關注兒童的行為。
四、 家庭功能是照顧者健康的主要預測因子。
最後，本研究針對介入和後續研究提出建議。

Raising a child with special needs may cause greater psychological and physical harm to caregivers. And the impact on health will vary by primary caregiver and disability type. The aim of this study was to explore the health determinants of primary caregivers of children with special needs in Taiwan and compare differences in models for different caregiver and different disability categories. The data was obtained from Special Needs Education Longitudinal Study(SNELS). Cases were defined who comes from elementary school in 2012. 2937 cases were found from this databases. Descriptive statistics, T-test, ANOVA, and SEM were used in this study. Confirmatory factor analysis(CFA) is based on Raina's theoretical framework. Different primary caregivers and disability categories have different effects on caregiver health.
