近年來，政府為配合永續經營的綠建築政策推動，與業界共同推廣屬於北美地區的框組壁木構造系統，並針對此系統進行本土化的耐火性能實驗驗證，但在系統構法方面，關於本土基礎性之研究仍相當缺乏，以致於無法掌握國內西式木構造住宅構法發展的程度。因此，本研究即以國內西式木構造住宅類型為調查研究之課題，進行現況的探討。

　　本研究首先藉由木構造相關文獻的彙整，瞭解木構造住宅的基本特性及其結構體構法原理，並整理西式木構造住宅系統構法要點，以作為現況調查時，解讀與比對調查結果之依據。再者，藉由現況調查、專家訪談與問卷調查之進行，將資料整理、分析與綜合歸納，以瞭解國內西式木構造住宅結構體構法類型發展現況，繼而發現問題與研擬對策。

　　本研究成果包括：

一、國內西式木構造住宅結構體構法類型分類，分為國外引進型之原木層疊式、框組壁式與本土改良型之混合式。

二、國內西式木構造住宅運用現況調查，材料使用以進口材為主；規範引用以美國規範為主；建照申請以部分申請為主；結構體構法以框組壁式為主；施工規範以實務經驗為主；完工檢驗方式以經驗檢驗為主。

三、國內西式木構造住宅現況問題檢討與對策研擬：
1.對於國內現況的問題觀察與檢討可歸納為下列幾點：（1）供應者法定身分模糊，素質良莠不齊；（2）在材料使用上出現嚴重的品管問題；（3）將近半數的案例有嚴重的結構問題，尤其在水平抵抗能力方面；（4）施工者在施工技術上參差不齊；（5）完工後僅依經驗檢驗，難以確保施工品質；（6）多數案例未經過結構計算，且未申請建照。
2.針對以上現況問題點提出的改善對策可歸納為下列幾點：（1）將木構造供應廠商納入專業營造業；（2）建立品質查核機制，落實施工品管制度；（3）加強教育輔導，落實證照制度；（4）研擬適合本土之木構造施工規範與標準；（5）加強落實建築管理機制。

　In recent years，in order to cooperate to follow out the “green building” policy in sustainable management，the Government combines with manufacturers to promote the wood framing system of North America，and are aimed to proceed the localization test of the fire-resistant performance. Nevertheless，it is very short of local basic researches in the aspect of building system，and resulted that we can’t master the development degree of the building system in domestic western style wooden house. Thus this study regards the domestic western style wooden house as the researchable theme to investigate current situation.

　This study starts with arrangements of relevant documents in the wood frame construction to comprehend the fundamental characteristics and the principle of building system in structure. Afterwards，compiles the essentials of the building system in western style wooden house to consider them as a basis in expounding and interpreting the research conclusions. Furthermore，by way of examining current situation、interviewing the professionals and questionnaire survey，analyses and generalizes the data to understand the present development circumstance of the building system in western style wooden house .Moreover，discovers the problems and framing the strategies.

　The conclusions of this study include：

1.The classification of the internal building system in western style wooden house，contains the log construction of foreign import type and the hybrid construction of domestic improvement type.

2.In investigating the internal current situation detect that the using of materials is mainly imported stuff；the applying of code is mainly on using International Building Code（IBC）of the United States of America；the applying for construction permits is mainly partial application；the building system in structure is mainly wood framing；standards for construction are mainly practical experiences；the examination of completed work is mainly experimental method.

3.The review of problems in present western style wooden house and the strategies are：
A.In the domestic aspect：（1）The official status of suppliers is blurred and the quality has varying degrees of ability.（2）The using of materials appears the problems in quality management.（3）About half cases have critical construction problems.（4）The construction techniques of constructers differs tremendously.（5）The examination of completed work is mainly experimental method which can’t ensure the construction quality.（6）Most cases didn’t work through structure calculation or apply for getting construction permits.
B.The strategies：（1）Subsume wood frame construction to professional construction Industry.（2）Set up inspected scheme to execute quality management system.（3）Strengthen education guidance to execute certification system.（4）Frame the construction code for local wood frame construction.（5）Augment architecture management system.
