碳/碳複合材料(Carbon/Carbon Composite,C/C)為碳纖維強化碳基材複合材料(carbon fiber-reinforced carbon matrix composite)的簡稱,其具有高比強度、質輕的特性。在適當的保護氣氛下,即使在高溫的使用環境仍能保有傑出的機械強度,且製成的零件重量遠比其他材料如鋼鐵、鈹合金等為輕(理論密度約2.2g/cm3)。因為這些獨特的性質,碳/碳複合材料被視為製作飛機煞車的最佳材料之一。
本研究藉由改變基材材料與加入添加物的方式製備碳/碳複合材料,討論不同基材與添加物經快速碳化製備之碳/碳複合材料的磨耗性質之影響。研究結果發現以乾粉酚醛樹脂為基材之磨耗量較液態酚醛樹脂為基材的碳/碳複合材料有大幅度的改善,其中又以加入添加物II5vol%兼具低磨耗量及較穩定的摩擦係數。
Carbon fiber-reinforement carbon matrix composite is called Carbon/Carbon composite(C/C) which has properties such as high ratio strength and low density。Under proper atmosphere,C/C has excellent mechanical strength even if using in high temperature and it’s much more light than sections made by steel and beryllium alloys(theoretical density=2.2g/cm3) 。For these unique properties,C/C is one of the best materials of aircraft brake disk。
The study discusses the influence of properties of wear with C/C fabricated by faster carbonization rate and by changing matrix and additions. The investigate concludes that the wear lost in novalac-type resin is less than in resol-type resin and the most improving is using 5vol% addition II.
