  • 本論文主要探討「農耕」與「都市」重新結合的可能,並以柬埔寨金邊市 (Phnom Penh, Cambodia)為規劃與設計之基地。
    近代都市的擴張與農耕的發展,一直處於相互爭地的關係,但能源與糧食危機的警訊,使得農業再度成為矚目的議題。隨著亞洲的興起,東南亞更成了各方資本家的新寵。
    長久以來,東南亞地區與水共存,發展出獨特的生活型態以及興盛的農業。但在現今全球化的衝擊下,其農耕以及與自然共存的生活模式均受到極大的影響與挑戰。金邊市位於柬埔寨中南部,為柬埔寨首都,地處洞里薩河(Tonlé Sap)、湄公河(Mekong)、及巴薩河(Bassac)匯流處,提供了此區十分豐富的自然資源及地利之便,也使其成為這波衝擊的標地之一。
    本設計欲以都市農耕的角度,重新看待與定義金邊市區的開放空間;提出別於商業開發的方案,於市中心的萬古湖(Boeng Kak lake)區置入垂直農場與永續能源技術,並重整水域旁的貧民窟,復興都市開放空間的價值與意義、創造新的都市形象。

    This thesis takes Phnom Penh, Cambodia as the study site to explore the opportunities of inserting ‘farming’ into the ‘urban field’, which will yield new forms of space that keep greens and agriculture in densely populated area.
    That the urban expansion and the agricultural growth compete limited land is a quite normal modern experience. Recent alarms of energy crisis and food crisis make ‘farming’ a hot issue once again. As a part of the rising of Asia phenomena, Southeast Asia has become a new favorite for the global capitalists, which will conceivably endanger its long tradition of living with waters that shapes unique living style and flourished agriculture. Phnom Penh, the capital city of Cambodia, is a watershed place where three rivers, Tonlé Sap, Mekong and Bassac converge. With abundant natural resources and geographical convenience in the region, Phnom Penh becomes the city that is prone to such dangers.
    As oppose to those commercialist plans, this design scheme offers a vision about the development of Boeng Kak Lake in Phnom Penh that inculcates the idea of Vertical Farm and related Green technologies. By creating new urban experiences, new work opportunities for those lakeshore slum residents, and perhaps new city icons, this study speculates also a new way of urban renaissance.
