有鑑於現今競爭激烈的全球市場,許多權威性的國際性組織,諸如國際標準組織(International Organization for Standardization)、國際電工委員會(International Electrotechnical Commission)等皆提供特定的標準或規範予不同產業的產品或服務。企業為呈現對產品或服務品質水準之實力,創造合作關係的綜效競爭力,會將國際認證作為締結合作協定的前提或必要條件,以期奠立永續發展之基礎。因此,本文以社會交換理論(Social Exchange Theory)為研究基礎,聚焦於合作夥伴間的無形資源互動之關係,而互動關係的前置因子包括溝通、文化相似性、合作持續期間、互動頻率、衝突、以及組織學習等六項,藉此探討維繫其合作關係的關鍵因素,並深入探究取得國際組織的認證對於長期合作之意願。本研究對象為台灣三大科學園區,包括新竹、台中、台南科學園區內製造業的高階管理者(CEO),採系統式抽樣法,共計回收136份有效問卷。資料分析採用結構方程模式,結果顯示企業獲取國際組織認證,對組織間之長期合作意願有顯著正向影響,且發現組織間所產生的衝突並非皆對合作品質造成負面影響。由上述分析之結果,本研究建議企業應以合作品質促進投資國際組織認證的標準,並以持續且穩定的交易行為來維繫良好的長期合作關係。
In this global environment, many international organizations, including the International Organization for Standardization, the International Electrotechnical Commission, among others, provide standards of products or services in various industries. Therefore, more and more enterprises are eager to enhance their competitive advantages in order to build foundation for sustainable development by applying for international certifications. At present, many international businesses require their partners to have a specific certification to prove they are capable of implementing a collaborative program. Accordingly, this study, based on social exchange theory (SET), is intended to examine the exchange behaviors between partners within parameters involving intangible resources; therefore, it considers communication, cultural similarity, relationship duration, interaction frequency, conflict, and organizational learning as the trading factors between partners that affect the quality of relationships. The purposes of this study are to examine the influence of trading behaviors on the maintenance of a trading relationship and to test whether implementing certifications would actually raise the intention to have long-term collaborative relationships. This study employed a paper-based survey, and structural equation modeling was conducted to analyze the data collected from 136 respondents who are top managers of manufacturing enterprises in Hsinchu, Taichung, and Tainan Science Park. The main finding was that applying for an international certification can affect long-term orientation toward a collaborative partnership. Also, it was found that conflict within a partnership does not always negatively influence relationship quality. In sum, this study suggests that because enterprises want to persist in stable partnerships and get long-term competitive advantages, they should continue to create smooth and efficient trading behaviors and should also consider relationship quality as an important factor with regard to their investment in some relationship-specific assets.
