柳葉箬屬(Isachne)隸屬於禾本科(Poaceae)、黍亞科(Panicoideae)、柳葉箬族(Isachneae)，其主要分布於熱帶和亞熱帶地區，全世界約有95種。臺灣產柳葉箬屬植物依據第二版臺灣植物誌紀錄共有8種，但在此8種的形態描述及圖版有許多特徵缺漏。對照近年文獻(Chen and Phillips, 2006; Iskandar and Veldkamp, 2004)，此8分類群的學名已多所修改訂正，部份種別在形態描述上也有所不符。為呈現臺灣產柳葉箬屬植物實際分類情況，本研究彙整前人相關研究、觀察植株細部形態，並將觀察資料同時記錄於DELTA (Descriptive Language for Taxonomy)系統，建立特徵資料庫，再以UPGMA及PCo進行歸群分析。結果顯示台灣產柳葉箬屬植物共可分為9個分類群，其中包含一新紀錄種I. lutchuensis。本研究詳細描述9分類群之形態特徵，並輔以照片說明。其中節下腺體環、花序分枝刺毛及腺體、小花形狀及質地為分類的重要特徵。而臺灣目前使用的學名中，I. dispar應訂正為I. pulchella、I. beneckei應訂正為I. clarkei、I. miliaceae應合併入I. globosa。另台灣原稱之I. kunthiana依據Phillips and Chen (2005)之描述，應改為I. schmidtii。

Genus Isachne (Poaceae, Panicoideae, Isachneae) was described by R. Brown in 1810. About 95 species belong to the genus and distribute mainly in tropical and subtropical regions. There are 8 species of Isachne described in Flora of Taiwan edition II (Hsu et. al., 2000). However, the genus Isachne had been revised recently (Chen and Phillips, 2006; Iskandar and Veldkamp, 2004). In which, the descriptions and illustrations of some taxa related to Taiwan species should be revised. In this study, both fresh and herbarium specimen were observed. The characters were inputted into DELTA (Descriptive Language for Taxonomy) system and then were analyzed and clustered with UPGMA (unweighted pair-group method using arithmetic average) and PCo (principal coordinates analysis). Results revealed that there are 9 taxa of Isachne in Taiwan, including a new recorded species I. lutchuensis. The glands below the nodes, hispid or gland ring on pedicels, and shape and texture of florets are reliable characters for identification. Several scientific names of Isachne in Taiwan are proposed to be revised. I. miliaceae are incorporated into I. globosa. The names of I. dispar and I. beneckei are revised to I. pulchella and I. clarkei, respectively. I. kunthiana should be revised to I.schmidtii based on description by Phillips and Chen (2005).
