  •   無論是居家門禁安全、中小企業,或是大企業的進出入管制,監視系統都是不可或缺的。然而,絕大多數的工作都是由保全人員執行守衛盤查,或是由警衛室的人員透過監視攝影機來過濾出入人員。我們這裡希望達到的目標是,建立一個全自動化的系統,透過簡單的安裝程序,就能夠在完全沒有人力介入的情形下,來完成這些工作。
      由於所提到的系統包含了自動偵測和辨識兩大部分,本篇論文將著重在探討前者所牽涉的議題,及描述所我們開發的系統。在辨識部分,我們將使用現成的模組來達成。在其他層面的應用,例如在軍事或者圖學上的應用,都會在這裡探討。

      A surveillance system is essential for enterprise and home security. However, manpower has a hand in most entrance guard systems, or hiring staffs in security room monitoring all video cameras installed at specified positions. Our goal in this paper is to develop an automatic system which can be easily set up and achieve the security mission without any human resource.
      The system mentioned here encountered two modules: first is detection and tracking, another is recognition. Our work focus on the first part, and for recognition, existing algorithm will be applied. Issues arising from our work are also examined, and detail descriptions of our system are also presented. Other applications such as military industry or graphics will be discussed.
