In this paper, the horizontal fin temperature and air temperature in the open inclined cavity are measured and experimentally, and CFD inverse method is used to estimate the power on the hot wall, and then receive sofeware simulation
results. The inverse scheme is to guess the initial value of Q at first, and use CFD simulation software to get simulation results. Then we compare the simulation results with experimental results to get the error of the data, and the error is dealed using the least square method and the Q value is corrected. Repeat the steps until Q converges. We use ANSYSIS 18.0 to simulate, compare the simulation results with experimental results to get suitable flow model and grid, and then analyze its heat transfer characteristics through the velocity streamline and temperature distribution.By changing the fin length, fin distance, fin position, cavity inclined angle and cavity opening size, the influence on heat transfer characteristics in the cavity is discussed.
