In this thesis, we will discuss subdirect sums of rings. First we introduce some concepts of subdirect
sums of rings and subdirectly irreducible rings. Then we discuss the classification of certain commutative
subdirectly irreducible rings. Finally, the subdirect sums of prime rings, primitive rings, and finite prime fields are discussed.
