人類歷史可說是以戰爭為主軸，而古時冷兵器時代，以刀劍相互砍殺的技藝，經過時代的演進轉變為具有民族文化內涵的活動，而保存下來。現代的武術兵器訓練活動，演化成數種不同方式，傳統的刀劍訓練事關固有文化傳統很難去介入改變，但各種刀劍對打訓練方式器材不斷推陳出新則是可供研究的領域。
　　本研究選定日本劍術對打用的訓練劍及其對應護具的重新設計，根據實地的參與觀察日本劍術活動蒐集資訊後，加以分析歸納出日本劍術對打訓練的主要訴求，並針對這些主要訴求來進行日本劍術對打用訓練劍及其對應防具設計改進可能性的探討研究。
　　隨著材料與電子感應科技的發展和普及，新的工程材料，與感應回饋技術在近年來有長足的進步。以往想像中才有的功能需求，透過新技術的應用及設計整合就能有全新的成果。而改進舊有產品/系統，讓使用變得更便利，更切實是工業設計者的使命，而身為工業設計者及日本劍術教學者的筆者借用學術研究的方式嘗試找出新一代的日本劍術對打用訓練劍及防具的設計方向，冀望能讓新一代的日本劍術對打用訓練劍及其護具設計能更貼近理想。

Human history, in other words can be said is war related. Thousands of years ago, war is associated with swords combat against with enemy.
After evolution and time change, now the sword combat has become a symbol of culture and preserved. Modern martial arts weapons training evolved into a number of different ways, one is traditional sword which related to the cultural tradition thus is difficult to change, however others as of different sword combat equipment continues to develop. The new equipment is the field now available for research.
The research main topic is for the Japanese swordsmanship training sword and the redesign for the selected protector.
Base on real Japanese swordsmanship events, the researcher observed then gathered information from on-site practice. Those data is analyzed and summarized according to Japanese sword combat for improve their protector.
With advance material and sensor technology are getting mature and popular, plus sensor feedback technology has significant progress in recent years; the ideal function now can be utilized and realized via new technology.
Through improved the original product and system, this offer user with more convenient.
