建築設計協同作業過程中,如何針對合作成員面臨的設計問題,提供適時、適境的必要設計資訊,減少資訊誤判提昇設計決策品質,是建築設計協同作業的重要課題。隨著協同作業系統的開發使用,雖然系統提供合作成員進行設計溝通與討論的便利性,但也造成合作式設計資訊超載的問題日益嚴重,欲在系統中找尋特定設計情境相關的資訊,逐漸成為一大難題。
資料採礦是資料庫領域有關資料超載問題的解決方案,透過統計、資料庫、機器學習等多領域的技術運用,在資料中找尋具有價值的型樣。本研究以資料採礦的理論與技術為基礎,提出設計資訊採礦理論與系統化應用步驟,目的在找尋合作式設計資訊分類與關聯型樣,以開發有效的設計資訊管理機制,解決合作式設計資訊超載的問題。
本研究透過:1) 設計資訊採礦理論之建構;2) 合作式建築設計資訊採礦分析;與3) 建築設計協同作業系統開發,進行主要研究課題探討,研究成果包括:
1. 設計資訊採礦理論建構:本研究以建築設計協同作業資訊為應用對象,提出設計資訊採礦理論與系統化應用步驟,理論之建構與方法論之應用經驗,提供後續研究者進行延伸課題或類似研究之基礎。
2. 設計資訊採礦型樣發現:本研究設計資訊採礦所發現的型樣,具有合作式設計資訊分類與關聯索引的能力,研究論點導入情境式設計資訊服務的概念,發現結合6W特性與設計常用語相關度之資訊分類與關聯型樣,能夠提供有效的合作式設計資訊檢索機制,解決合作式設計資訊超載的問題。
3. 合作式設計資訊管理導向的系統開發:本研究從合作式設計資訊管理的觀點,利用所發現的資訊型樣,進行協同作業系統的開發;系統提供包括結構化查詢、資訊視覺化查詢與關鍵詞相關度查詢三種資訊檢索機制,系統評估顯示本研究之合作式設計資訊管理機制,能夠有效協助建築設計協同作業人員,取得合作式設計相關資訊,並且避免資訊超載的問題。
透過本研究設計資訊採礦理論與方法論的應用,以及協同作業系統設計資訊檢索功能的開發經驗,本研究針對設計資訊採礦理論之適用性進行分析,包括1) 設計資訊型樣;2)建築設計用語詞庫;3) 設計用語關聯分析;4) 層級概念的資訊索引關聯服務;與5) 資訊視覺化介面,結論並針對設計資訊採礦理論之應用提出建議觀點。
In a web-based collaborative architectural design environment, an important issue is how to provide situated design information for collaborators to make effective design decision. Although the establishment and use of collaborative design systems ease the design process, the collaborators have to deal with vast amounts of information available in the systems and it is very time-consuming for exploring desired information. To collaborators, how to find necessary information regarding with specific design situation is becoming a difficult problem.
Data mining is to find useful knowledge from vast amount of data by using multi-disciplinary technologies. It is the solution for solving the information overload problem in the research field of database. Based on data mining theory and techniques, the research proposes a design information mining theory to discover the hidden classification and association patterns among collaborative design information. These patterns are used to support collaborators in getting most desired information in a collaborative design environment.
To explore the research issues, this study first surveyed several collaborative design projects to collect collaborative design information. Then, followed by systematic processes to find hidden information classification and association patterns among collaborative design information. Furthermore, the discovered patterns are incorporated by groupware technologies to develop a collaborative architectural design system, named as DECADE, to verify the mining results. The main research achievements include:
1. The design information mining theory established by this research could be used effectively to discover the classification and association patterns among collaborative design information.
2. By adopting the concept of situated design information, the patterns discovered are capable of classifying and associating collaborative design information by 6W-related features and the relative ratios among design terminologies.
3. The information retrieval mechanisms developed in this research provide structured approach, visualization approach and terminology-based approach with threshold settings, which provide the solution of design information overload problem.
Based on mining results and system performance, the research concludes by the adaptabilities of applying design information mining theory to support collaborative architectural design. The issues discussed include design information patterns, design dictionary, design terminologies, indexing information, and visualization interface.
