The airline industry is highly competitive. It takes every effort from each divisions and processes to ensure proper and efficient operations in order to keep up with the strong market competition. Since FAT goes out of business, the assets such as the aircrafts and employees have been not productive any more. This raises a question – is there any solution to restructure FAT’s operation? In November 2008, two sides, Taiwan and Mainland China, signed the Cross-Strait Air Transport Agreement. This agreement arises a new hope to aviation business in cross-strait flights. Current political situation across Taiwan Strait is getting much better than ever. Taiwan Strait is a natural barrier that obstructs ground transports. Air services will be the only solution to adopt. However, travel cost is the most issue to concern by the passengers or customers. The proposed survey and study brings new hope to re-construct FAT into a low-cost airline.
