本論文由現代都市汙染與城市永續的定義開始探討，衍伸出操作議題說明以及確定以都市淨化作為實踐永續城市的構想，將之視為目標，接著架構出關於設計中操作的層級與秩序後，確立以都市物理汙染作為選址主軸。透過對於台南市都市污染的分析，選出操作區域；再以台南意象作為篩選機制，挑選富裕里中可操作之基地，接著進行基地內部的實際勘查，以及對於現行庶民建築之構架進行研究與分析。確立了基本資料後，開始著手研究現行物理環境操作之生態工程，將所蒐集的機制進行拆解、組織、交互利用等過程，形成數種可達到淨化都市污染之系統設備。生態系統設備建立後，依照都市淨化系統原型的概念，設計出一套可以適用於各個都市設計流程。下一個階段則是創造出數個具備改善生活環境以及淨化城市的生態居住單元，生態單元創作完成後，從上階段選定的都市基地中，條件式的挑選出五個具有都市代表性的操作區域，將生態單元置入做實際的示範。最後一個章節則是透過軟體、性能試算等步驟，透過系統認證來檢視所設計出來的生態單元是否確實具備改善生活環境以及淨化城市之效應。

This investigation was started with the discussion of contemporary urban pollution and sustainable urban. This extended the issue declaration and ensure implementation of sustainable urban through urban purification as concept of this study. The design manipulation of hierarchy and sequence was organized and framed as a guide. Urban physical contamination was ensured as main factor for the selection of site. While, this filtration of site was based on the analysis of severity of urban pollution and Image of Tainan. Therefore, after a series of filtration, Fuli Village was decided as the site for next investigate. Next, actual exploration would be held, construction of civilian resident were counted in the part of investigation and analysis.

After the confirmation of the basic information collected, this research started with investigating the ecological engineering of the physical environment. Every information collected will be ready to decompose, organize and interactive use, forming various urban purification systems. After building up the ecological system, a series of systematic design for each urban is designed according to the urban prototype. In the following stage, this systematic design consists various ecological living units which could improve our environment and purify the urban. This units will be placed into five sites that selected previous as actual demonstration. In the end of this study, the performance of every unit will be calculated and viewed to ensure their efficiency to improve and purify the urban.

The purpose of this thesis was to realize the problems in today’s urban through a complete dissertation of architecture design. In this process, we try to build up a solution with a perfect program. Finally, the effectiveness of the implementation and the conclusion were being reviewed.
