穿鬬式架扇是台灣傳統民宅中常見的構造方式之一，在以往卻少有相關且深入的研究記錄。有鑑於台灣對於文化資產保存的日益重視，本文則針對台南地區傳統民宅內正廳的穿鬬式架扇為探討對象，記錄整體架扇的型態、量測主要構件尺寸，調查其構件作法等等；再輔以訪問台南地方匠師，瞭解各構件名稱用語及作法。並將調查之案例歸納其組合型態加以分析其影響成因；以期對日後研究穿鬬式架扇相關論題者能有基本之實體史料。有關各章節之摘要如下：
第一章 緒論
　　簡述研究動機、目的、文獻回顧，並建立台南地區民宅穿鬬式架扇之調查選樣重點，以及調查記錄內容及方式。

第二章 穿鬬式架扇之定義與名稱用語
　　本章先以文獻回顧方式，探討建築辭典中對於穿鬬式架扇之定義及各構件名稱用語；再輔以台南地區匠師訪談結果，相互比較，整理台南地區常用名稱。

第三章 台南地區民宅穿鬬式架扇之空間構成及尺寸關係
　　探討民宅正廳與穿鬬式架扇之空間構成關係，調查架扇使用之材料種類；並分別整理分析各構件尺寸與規模之關係。

第四章 穿鬬式架扇構件作法、構架組立與類型分析
　　調查各構件之作法、以及各構件間之接續方式，並討論其構架組立之原則。歸納調查案例之架扇組合型態並探討其成因。

第五章 結論
　　綜合前述各章，分別探討了穿鬬式架扇之空間規模、構件尺寸、作法、接續、組立等的特色。

　　The Chuan-Dou system（穿鬬式）wooden frames are one of the most common structures of traditional houses in Taiwan, but there was few interrelated and deep research. In view of increasing emphasis on cultural assets preservation in Taiwan, this study focuses on the Chuan-Dou system（穿鬬式）wooden frames within the main hall of Tainan traditional houses. The study records the types of overall wood frames, measures the main size of components, investigates methodology of components, understands each name and methodology of components with interviewing craftsmen in Tainan, and sums up the combination types of cases to analyze the causation further. It is expected that this study will provide the historical records in the researching area of wooden frames. The chapters with the abstraction as following：

Chapter 1： Generalization
　　Introducing the motive, purposes, literature review, and establishing the records and methodology of investigating and sampling about Chuan-Dou system（穿鬬式）wooden frames of houses in Tainan region.

chapter 2: The definition and proper noun (of Chuan-Dou 　　system（穿鬬式）wooden frames)
In this chapter, we review some definitions of Chuan-Dou system（穿鬬式）wooden frames and the proper nouns of each components defined in architectural dictionary, comparing with the interview records with the craftsmen in Tainan, and generalize some terms commonly used in Tainan.

chapter 3: The spatial composition and size-corresponding (of Chuan-Dou system（穿鬬式）wooden frames in Tainan traditional houses.)
　　Discussing the relationship of the spatial composition between the main hall and Chuan-Dou system（穿鬬式）wooden frames, investigating the material categories of the wooden frames, and then respectively analyzing the relationship between the sizes of each component comprised in wooden frames and the scales of the hall.

chapter 4： Methodology and analysis
　　We investigate the methodology and the connection of each component, and discuss the principle of combination of structural frame. We induce the types of combining wooden frames that we investigate and discuss contributing factor.

chapter 5： Conclusion
　　In summarize, we discuss the characteristics that include scale of Chuan-Dou system（穿鬬式） wooden frames, the size of a component, methodology, connection and combination.
