行與人類生活密不可分，老人的交通行為和需求又與非老人不同，而台灣地區早已進入高齡化社會，老人問題也已衍生為社會問題，其中老人運輸的重要性與迫切性更須被加以關注。提供老人運輸藉此讓老人更接近娛樂或休閒活動，能適時紓解老年人口老化的壓力，並且有助於身心健康，獲得良好的生活品質。
　　生活滿意度為生活品質重要的衡量指標，而交通問題是影響老人生活品質的因素之一，研究中將從微觀的角度來探究大眾運輸與老人生活滿意度之間的關連性。本研究藉由文獻回顧，將老人交通行為分成幾個構面：大眾運輸環境、交通能力、交通態度、交通意願、活動意願、生活滿意度等六個構面，此六構面有間接或直接的影響；然而在完成旅次後，則有較佳的生活滿意度，換言之在該研究架構之下，最終的目標即追求老人的生活品質。
　　本研究範圍選定台北市與高雄市兩大都會區，分為65歲以上老人與64歲以下非老人進行調查。在建立最初研究假設的架構之後，並就問卷回收之資料，以結構方程模式(SEM)對生活滿意度模式進行反覆的建構與參數校估，最終得到一合理的模式。研究中分別建立台北市與高雄市的模型，並且分為老人與非老人模型，以比較差異，最後發現交通態度是交通能力影響交通意願重要的中介變數，而大眾運輸環境的重要性也在研究中獲得證實，在高雄老人與非老人模型中，交通能力與交通意願之間有著負向直接的關聯。
　　藉由提供老人運輸獲得更良好的生活品質，從供給面著手，則必須改善大眾運輸服務品質，然而供給與需求環環相扣，若能有完善的運輸服務則渴望有更多衍生性的需求，進而達到理想的生活品質，此等研究結果將可提供未來針對老人運輸研擬策略的參考。

　Traffic is connected close with our life. The elders’ traffic behavior is different from nonelders’. Taiwan is an aging society. The society problem is derived from the elders problem. Elderly problems include family and social problems. Particularly, elder transportation is the important purpose. Providing elderly well-being about transportation closes to the leisure place, further. The supply of elderly transportation could smooth over aging pressure adequately
　Related researches regard life satisfaction as an important indicator of the aging process. One of the influential factor of the elders’ life satisfaction us traffic problems. In addition to give the elders favourable measure, the planner can plan a friendly space and environment of the transportation. The final goal is the best quality of life. By the Literature review, the research divides the eldes’ traffic behavior into several constructs. There are public transportation environment, traffice capacity, traffice attitude, traffice intention, activity intention and life satisfaction. The six constructs are effected by each other. The final goal is life satisfaction.
　Survey boundaries of the research are elders in Taipei and Kaohsiung. The elders are over 65 years old. Questionnaire Analysis include factor analysis, structural equation modeling. Two megalopolis are as compared with each other. Finding of the research is that traffice attitude is a important medium variable. In Kaohsiung model, the research find that traffic capacity connect oppositely with capacity intention.
　The elders use transportation and obtain good life quality. Planner can improve environment of the transportation. The final goal “life quality” will be achieved.
