Comfort is probably the most important aspect of footwear. The difficulty is how to directly define or quantify comfort. It has been proven that many foot problems are caused by wearing inappropriate footwear. The ankle is in an unstable condition, which in turn affects the overall alignment and gait, so it is very important to wear a suitable pair of shoes. Due to the advancement of industrial technology and the change of consumption pattern, customized products are a kind of shopping pattern change and trend for consumers. However, currently the customized shoes service is mainly based on appearances and colors, but there are not many choices for the most important part of shoes, which is comfort.
Each person's foot length and shape may more or less vary , and certain elements such as the differences between dominant feet may affect the selection of the best comfort. In this study, the participants wore different sizes of sneakers on their left and right feet, but did they feel the best comfort when both feet in the same size of shoes ? Also, the study aims to understand whether the results of the comfort assessment are related to the difference between the actual sizes of the participants' left and right foot.
