The purpose of this study was to explore how art therapy can promote emotional moderation among middle-aged and elderly community workers. 15 middle-aged and elderly community workers participated in 120-minute art therapy group intervention once a week for 4 weeks. The mixed research method is used to collect quantitative and qualitative data, and the qualitative data is the main research findings for analysis and discussion. The study found that emotion moderating resources such as the therapist profession, the symbolism of creative works, the application of art media, and the power of group can help participants' self-emotional appraisal, others' emotional appraisal, use of self-emotion, and regulation of self-emotion in the art therapy. The middle-aged and elderly community workers can improve self-worth and build their self-confidence. It is expected to empower the middle-aged and elderly community workers and help them continue to work in the community. It is hoped that art will serve as an emotional support resource for middle-aged and elderly community workers to accompany and care for the community and serve the masses in the future.
