台灣中南部水庫上游溪流生長許多底棲性的大型絲狀藻類,主要種類為剛毛藻屬及水綿藻屬,這些藻類在低營養鹽濃度的河水中生長良好且可以人力撈除,具有去除水體氮磷的潛力。本研究以南化及曾文水庫上游溪流為調查地點,共對4條河川進行調查,研究內容包括不同季節大型絲狀藻類的生物量、生長曲線、生長速率、藻體內部氮磷含量濃度及其攝取速率,並評估適合進行撈除藻類的時間、頻度與地點。在每年9月到隔年4月的非雨季期間為大型絲狀藻類的生長期,曾文溪流域大型絲狀藻類生長情形優於南化水庫流域,在曾文溪主流測得生長速率為0.60 g dry wt/m2/d,每年因藻體生長而從水中攝取的氮、磷分別為0.77~3.10 g N/m2/y與0.02~0.07 g P/m2/y。藻體內氮磷含量方面,曾文溪流域剛毛藻與水綿的氮磷含量有顯著差異,剛毛藻比水綿高。不同流域的水綿,曾文溪的氮含量與後堀溪無顯著差異,而曾文溪的磷含量比後堀溪顯著較高。最後依調查結果評估曾文溪主流及其支流托亞奇伊溪為適合撈除藻類的地點,推估兩地去除氮磷之潛能:平均一年中曾文溪主流可去除TN 41.8 kg/y、TP 1.0 kg/y;平均一年中托亞奇伊溪可去除TN 27.2 kg/y、TP 2.2 kg/y。
Filamentous algae can be found in headwater of water reservoirs in central-south region of Taiwan. These algae are highly abundant, especially Cladophora sp. and Spirogyra spp. Because of they grow well in low nutrient rivers and can be harvested, they are potential for uptaking nitrogen and phosphorus nutrient from rivers. In this study, four rivers were chosen from upstream of Nan-Hua Reservoir and Tseng-Wen Reservoir for the study of the biomass, growth curve, growth rate, nitrogen and phosphorous content, and nutrient uptake rates of the algae in different seasons to evaluate how to harvest. Filamentous algae grow in non-rainy season of each year, from September to next April. There are much more algae in Tseng-Wen Reservoir watershed than in Nan-Hua Reservoir. The growth rate of algae in Tseng-Wen River is 0.60g dry wt/m2/d. The annual nutrient uptake rates in Tseng-Wen River are 0.77~3.10 g N/m2/y and 0.02~0.07 g P/m2/y, respectively. Nitrogen and phosphorous content in Cladophora is higher than Spirogyra in Tseng-Wen Reservoir watershed. Phosphorous content in Spirogyra algae in Tseng-Wen Reservoir watershed is higher than in Nan-Hua Reservoir. Basing on this study, Tseng-Wen River and Toyachiyi River are suggested as the best sites to harvest. The average potential nutrient ingestion from Tseng-Wen River are 41.8 kg TN/y and 1.0 kg TP/y, respectively. The average potential nutrient ingestion from Toyachiyi River are 27.2 kg TN/y and 2.2 kg TP/y, respectively.
