風水是我國傳統文化智慧的精華，是中華文化不可分割的一部份，時下風水已儼然是一種民間的「信仰」，建築物的使用者及投資者，心中自有一套風水經，深深地影響了建築規劃設計之進行，故風水學是現代有志於從事建築規劃設計者不得不要深入探討的一門學問。
本研究期望集眾家同業建築師之智慧，而掀開中國民俗風水之神秘面紗，在眾多繁複的影響因素中去蕪存菁，了解各風水因子之輕重緩急，並找出關鍵的影響因素，使設計決策更趨於理性及邏輯化，進而能從各替選方案中抉擇出最佳方案來。
本研究針對台南市十五個專業住宅設計之建築師進行專家問卷調查，總共回收有效問卷10 份，藉由層級分析法進行評估構面與其影響因素之成對比較，並以ExpertChoice 電腦軟體進行資料之運算，也進行特徵值及特徵向量之求取，並檢驗每一成對比較矩陣之判斷是否符合一致性之要求。得到下列結果：
1、刑法為主，理法為輔
2、注重基地外部環境之來路及形煞之趨避
3、注重選擇寬平方正之「基形」及藏風聚氣之「基址」
4、注重門路動線之布局及理想朝向之選擇
5、注重建築物平面格局之方整及門公尺之應用
FengShui is perhaps the essence of traditional Chinese wisdom and can be seen as an integral part of Chinese culture. However , many building users and investors have their own folk beliefs about FengShui , which has deeply
influenced the process of architectural planning and design. Therefore , for someone who likes to choose Architectural planning and design as a career , the knowledge of FengShui has become a must-read 'Study'.
This research combines knowledge exists in architectural industry and to explore the mystery of traditional Chinese FengShui. The process includes selecting the appropriate factors from a list of complex ones, then evaluating the pros and cons of each appropriate FengShui factor and identifying the key effecting factor; the purpose is to help the designing decision towards sensible and logical direction and resulting in the ability to determine the best solution from alternatives.
questionaires were distributed to fifteen professional residential architects in Tainan city with ten responses being obtained. An Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) was used to anslyse the evaluating construction and to compare with the effecting FengShui factors by pairwise, as well as using Expert Choice computer software to calculate the information and to refine the eigenvalues and eigenvectors and to test if each pairwise comparison Matrix meets the
requirement of consistency. The findings are as below:
1. The method of Sing-Fa(or Luan-Tou) could be as the main frame and then filled with Li-Fa (or Li-Chih).
2. Pay attention to the antecedents of the construction site's external environment and to avoid the source of evil Chih.
3. Focus on the site's boundary shape to be wide flat square (or rectengle) and site's location to be where can effectively collect Good (Fortunate) Chih.
4. Pay attention to the layout of paths to the entrance and to select the ideal facing direction.
5. Focus on the coordination of the interal appearance of building and the application of Door Yards.
