This study aims to evaluate the impact of logistics policy on competitive advantage and organizational performance in the high-tech industry. Five logistics policy dimensions were identified besed on a factor analysis, namely integration, physical infrastructure, regulation, sustainable development and human capital. Competitive advantage can be identified into three factors, including quality, customer responsiveness and cost, whereas organizational performance can be categorized into financial performance and non-financial performance.
A structural equation modeling (SEM) approach was used to test the research hypotheses. Results indicated that logistics policy had a positive effect on competitive advantage, whereas competitive advantage had a positive influence on organizational performance. The impact of logistics policy on organizational performance was not supported in this study, however, logistics policy has an indirect effect on organizational performance mediated by competitive advantage. Policy suggestions from the research findings for government were discussed in this research.
