  • 本論文在冷銣原子中實現基於電磁波引發透明機制的單光子儲存。首先,我們在光學密度最大可達20的冷原子中完成了數千顆光子的光儲存實驗。雖然在光儲存實驗中,耦合光與探測光的夾角有0.6度,但是仍然有一些耦合光會漏到偵測探測光的光電倍增管中。因此,我們使用一個自製的濾光器,可以有效濾掉漏至光電倍增管中的耦合光。然後,我們將光脈衝降到單光子程度並進行光儲存實驗,實驗結果顯示耦合光漏光只有取出探測光訊號的1/3,而且光儲存行為在單光子及數千顆光子的能量條件下並無明顯差異。

    This thesis report electromagnetically-induced-transparency-based light storage at the single-photon level using cold Rubidium atoms. First, we demonstrate the light-storage experiment at the thousand-photon level in cold atoms with a maximum optical depth of 20. Although the angle between the coupling beam and the probe beam is 0.6 degree in the light-storage experiment, the strong coupling light still leaks to the photomultiplier tube (PMT) of detecting the weak probe light. Therefore, we utilize a homemade etalon to filter out the coupling light of leaking to the PMT. Then we decrease the photon energy to the single-photon level and conduct the light-storage experiment. The experiment data shows the leaking coupling signal is one third of the retrieved probe signal. Furthermore, the behavior of the light storage at the single-photon level is similar to that at the thousand-photon level.
