This thesis discusses the role of sanitary products industry and how the industry influenced American women's attitudes about menstruation in the twentieth century. I use the booklets which were published by the sanitary products companes as the main materials of this thesis. Through the analyses of thesed booklets, I discovered that there were particular emphases of menstrual education. Hence when the commercial booklets became important resource of menstrual education, the concepts which the industry had converyed would affect how women dealed with menstruation.
