The aim of this research is to explore the predictors that affect listener to adopt podcast usage base on technology acceptance model (modified TAM). We also provide the concept of the effectiveness of playfulness, which aim to help podcaster to have better understanding on listener’s behavior. This research explores the effects of perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness and perceived playfulness on loyalty to the usage of podcast.
The online survey was done and a total of 167 questionnaires was collected and valid for data analysis. Hypotheses were tested basing on the theoretical model adapted from the literature. The initial results revealed that perceived ease of use have direct effect on perceived usefulness and perceived usefulness also have positive effect on loyalty in respect of the usage of podcast. In addition, perceived playfulness positively related to listener’s loyalty. Implications for managerial implications, limitations and future study are also discussed for reference.
