  • 本研究旨在發展並初步檢視一套結合女性主義觀點的創新設計研究方法「女性主義參與式設計幻象」(Feminist Participatory Design Fiction, 簡稱 PDFi)。本設計方法融合女性主義人機互動(Feminist HCI)的批判視角、參與式設計(Participatory Design)的共創實踐,以及設計幻象(Design Fiction)的未來想像特質,透過設計過程回應更年期女性在生理、情緒、社會與文化層面的多層次需求,並探索去醫療化與去污名化的科技設計策略。研究流程包含前測訪談、兩場 PDFi 工作坊與後續深度訪談。結果顯示,在東亞文化脈絡中,女性多以「關係性自我」理解自身,Feminist PDFi 因而需從西方女性主義強調「個人賦權」的預設,轉向「在關係中為自己騰出空間」的賦權形式。另一方面,研究亦指出現有更年期科技多以症狀管理與數據監控為導向;本研究提出的 Hóo 系列原型則以光、溫度、氣味與觸感為媒介,主張以「感官照護與生活節奏」為核心的溫柔科技觀(gentle tech),作為對主流自我追蹤模式的女性主義回應。最終,透過品牌敘事、影片與三折頁等敘事物件,Feminist PDFi 不僅促使更年期經驗被重新看見,更將其從私人困擾轉化為可被社會共同討論的公共議題。綜合而言,本研究的貢獻在於:(一)提出一套將「場域與氛圍設計」納入方法核心的 Feminist PDFi 架構;(二)揭示東亞文化脈絡下「關係性賦權」的可能性;(三)建立以感官療癒與節奏照護為核心的更年期科技觀;(四)展示敘事原型如何作為「讓更年期被看見」的公共化設計策略。本方法未來亦可延伸應用於青春期、產後或長照等女性身體經驗議題,作為促進性別正義與包容性科技發展的重要研究途徑。

    This study develops and preliminarily examines Feminist Participatory Design Fiction (Feminist PDFi), a design research method integrating Feminist HCI, participatory design, and design fiction. Menopause in Taiwan was used as a situated case to explore how women can express embodied, emotional, and social experiences and transform them into discussable future scenarios and design concepts. The study included five pre-study interviews, two approximately three-hour workshops with four participants, and six evaluation interviews. Reflexive thematic analysis identified four connected concerns: healing, privacy and subjectivity, emotional and relational support, and the publicization of menopause through gentle technology. The Hóo concepts used light, temperature, scent, sound, and touch rather than continuous monitoring, showing an alternative to symptom-centered menopause technologies. The findings also indicate that empowerment in an East Asian context may be relational and negotiated rather than highly individualistic. The contribution is a situated method that combines participation, future narrative, and feminist reflection while recognizing limits in sample, duration, and transferability.
