「聯境」為聯合的廟境空間，「聯境組織」是府城特有的文化產物，起始於清領期間為了都市防禦及維持社會秩序，由人民自發性行成的空間防禦組織，並對於府城內空間及城門防守進行權責分工，形成了十個聯境組織。由於聯境是由聯合的廟境空間組成，使得民生防務的任務與以信仰中心發展出空間結構有所疊合，進而產生了宗教神聖的色彩。經過了日治時期到現代，聯境組織因再無防務需求而使宗教功能被凸顯，各間廟宇為了紀念守望相助的歷史仍保留聯境名稱，並發展為交陪境的關係以紀念寺廟間的情誼。

歐洲理事會自1987年開始啟動了「文化路徑計畫」，該計畫旨在透過文化、歷史遺跡的路網連結，保存文化資產並鼓勵人們透過旅行凝聚歐洲共識，成效豐碩。因此本研究考量現有的空間資源，以及臺灣民間信仰的特質，在四聯境的日常生活場域中，整合空間敘事、文化路徑、建構神聖感等概念，提出「建構在日常生活中兼具神聖感的文化路徑」模型，並以經聯合國教科文組織認定的世界文化遺產朝聖之路進行案例分析與參考，最後以府城「四聯境」為例，提出主題的文化路徑提案並測試，期望透過文化路徑的方式來發揚府城聯境的歷史，並提供一個新的文化產品供作府城旅遊觀光的選擇。

"United Realms" means a joint temple realms space. "United Realms Organization" was a unique cultural product of Tainan Fu. It started as a space defense organization spontaneously formed by the people to defend the city and maintain social order during the Qing Dynasty. Since the United Realms was composed of a joint temple realms space, people's livelihood defense overlaps with developing a spatial structure centered on faith, producing a religious and sacred color. From the period of Japanese rule to modern times, the religious function of the United Realms Organization has been highlighted because there was no need for defense. The temples still retain the name of the United Realms to commemorate the history of mutual assistance and to develop friendships with temples.
The European Council launched the "Cultural Route Program" in 1987. The program aims to preserve cultural assets and encourage people to build a European consensus through travel through road network links of cultural and historical sites, and has achieved fruitful results. Therefore, this study considered the existing spatial resources and the characteristics of Taiwanese folk beliefs, in the space of everyday life, integrating the concepts of spatial narrative, cultural route, constructing a sense of sacredness, and proposed a model of "constructing a cultural route with a sense of daily life and sacredness." The UNESCO-recognized world cultural heritage pilgrimage routes are used as a case study and reference. Finally this study takes Tainan Fu’s " Si-Lian Realm " as an example to propose and verify a sacred Cultural Route, hoping to carry forward the history of the United Realms of Temples through a Cultural Route and providing a new cultural product for Tainan tourism.
