建築設計行為,是指建築設計者在擬定可能的社會或環境問題的解決方案後,在圖紙中表達設計思想的過程。在參數化設計的發展下,設計的過程開始以步驟拆解及運算,近年來,源於電腦理論的MAS多代理系統已應用於建築設計領域,其方法是藉由將大而複雜的設計問題分解為多個子問題,再以代理智慧分別解決子問題,最終合成為總體設計成果。不同於傳統設計流程,多代理系統是一種自下而上的設計方法。
基於生成方式的設計系統需要足夠的理論依據。在過去,許多研究人員通過觀察生物或社會活動來建立多代理系統,並將其應用於設計過程中,可見其他領域的知識對於多代理系統的重要性。而音樂與建築無論在生成的過程及方法都具有極大的相似性,在過往有諸多研究都指明了兩者的思維互通性,呼應數位工具發展背景及音樂與建築的思維相似性,本文研究了建築與音樂的生成工具發展歷程及音樂創作生成理論,藉由多個程式設計實驗建立了基於音樂理論的多代理設計生成系統,應用於實際專案設計中,以驗證生成系統的可行性。
本研究涉及了音樂及電腦等跨領域知識,在建築設計方法上提供了一種針對設計流程的技術實驗,對設計方式提出了一個新的見解。
The meaning of the term "architectural design" refers to the process in which the designer expresses the design ideas in drawings after drawing up the solution of possible problems of society or environment. With the development of parametric design, the design process began to be disassembled and calculated in steps. In recent years, multi-agent systems derived from the field of computer science have been used in the field of architectural design. The method is to decompose large and complex design problems into multiple sub-problems, and then use agent intelligence to solve the sub-problems separately, and finally synthesize it into the overall design result. Unlike the traditional design process, the multi-agent system is a bottom-up Design method.
Design systems based on generative methods require sufficient theoretical basis. In the past, many researchers have established multi-agent systems by observing biological or social operations and applied them in the design process. Both music and architecture have great similarities in the creative process and methods. In the past, many studies have indicated that both architecture and music are inter-connected in thinking. Echoing the development of digital tools and the similarity of thinking between music and architecture, this thesis explores the history of the development of tools for both architecture and music and the generative creative theory. In the follow-up, multiple multi-agent systems based on music theory were established through multiple programming experiments, which were used in actual design projects to prove the feasibility of generative systems.
This paper involves cross-disciplinary knowledge such as music, computer and architecture. In the architectural design method, a new insight into the design method is proposed through a technical experiment aimed at the design process.
