Knowledge acquisition methods have so far been developed to be considered the most important methods in the development of Knowledge-Based Systems. How to acquire the knowledge of human experts in solutions to specific problems effectively and how to successfully apply the knowledge acquired to the creation of the knowledge-based decision support systems have always been the goals that many researches strive for.
In the past, the source of knowledge and its quality have often been ignored in knowledge acquisition and system development processes. Therefore, to elicit expertise effectively, this paper uses Repertory grid technique as knowledge acquisition tool, combines the expert knowledge elicited with a case-base database, and assesses expert’s knowledge quality using Generalized Breslow-Day test and Generalized Cochran-Mantel-Haenszel (CMH) test. Through analysis, the results provide accurate information to help experts correct their erroneous knowledge concepts. Finally, the research applies this model in the evaluation of knowledge quality of In Vitro Fertilization domain experts. Through accepted medical theories, the research expects to certify the practicability and validity of the method postulated in this paper.
