  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the connections between workplace loneliness, emotional exhaustion, turnover intention, knowledge-sharing behavior, communion striving, and psychological capital. On the basis of earlier literature, the idea of workplace loneliness and its impacts, as well as the beneficial effects of psychological capital on employees, were studied.
The results showed that prolonged workplace loneliness greatly raised the possibility of emotional exhaustion in workers. High psychological capital, on the other hand, appeared to have a moderating effect, reducing the negative effects of workplace loneliness on emotional exhaustion. This research advances knowledge of psychological capital as a personal asset that can shield people from the damaging consequences of workplace loneliness. Our findings also revealed that communion striving did not function as a mediator in the association between turnover intention and loneliness at work and knowledge-sharing behavior.
This research provides insights into the complex interplay between the six variables and underscores the importance of addressing workplace loneliness as well as enhancing psychological capital to promote employee well-being and organizational effectiveness.
