Facing globalization and violent changes of technology, most countries and companies entirely agree that pursuing innovation constantly is the only way to keep competitive advantages and grow unceasingly. Because the government offers many preferential policies and resources of research and development(R&D), Hsin-Chu and Tainan Science-Based Parks have already been Taiwan’s important high-tech industrial clusters and more adaptable to the research and development of high-tech industrial than other countries.
These two science-based parks combine industrial, governmental, academic and institutional R&D resources, and the cluster synergy is taking effect gradually. For high-tech companies, cluster synergy will benefit these companies to acquire innovative knowledge and information, to build innovative capability and to keep competitive advantages.
This research will study effects of knowledge flow on innovative performance in perspectives of social capital. Using questionnaire investigation to sample from 521 companies in Hsin-Chu and Tainan Science-Based Parks and inviting mid to high-grade managers to be interviewee. 185 valid samplings are analyzed by SPSS software, such as Descriptive statistics, Factor analysis, Canonical Correlation analysis, and Regression analysis.
The analysis results partially support the following seven hypotheses:
1.Knowledge flow is related positively to organizational learning tendancy.
2.Knowledge flow is related positively to knowledge creation conditions.
3.Organizational learning tendancy is related positively to knowledge creation conditions.
4.The effects of social capital on knowledge flow is positive.
5.The effects of knowledge flow on innovative performance is positive.
6.The effects of organizational learning tendancy on innovative performance is positive.
7.The effects of knowledge creation conditions on innovative performance is positive.
