協同設計與早期參與的概念已廣泛被學術界與實務界應用於產品研發流程的改善,藉此縮短產品開發週期時間、降低產品研發成本並達到顧客滿意。本論文藉由共引用分析探索SCI與SSCI等級之期刊論文的引用狀況,歸納協同設計領域目前研究的分類(網際網路與物件、代理人機制之設計原則、人機介面與專案/系統之設計模式),以及發展的趨勢。其中,供應商評估與選擇模式為協同設計領域值得探討的議題之一。本文亦透過個案實證研究瞭解實務上製造商供應商評估與選擇的方式,以及如何早期參與產品研發流程。企業推動早期參與可區分為三個層次:策略、流程以及資訊系統。在策略層次中,個案公司需針對各類型顧客(OEM與ODM)的需求以及不同型態的供應商(機構、電子零件和軟體供應商),決定適當的協同設計鏈互動狀況,與供應商早期參與的作法以提升產品研發流程之效率。
依據共引用分析與個案實證研究的結果,本論文提出一個涵蓋顧客、製造商和供應商之協同設計鏈的架構。在此架構下,製造商以兩種觀點探討供應商評估和選擇的問題。首先,本文以矩陣運算為基礎推導系統化之步驟,協助製造商透過不同零件開發所需的創新能力與彼此間的影響程度,評估各零件供應商的相依度以及創新性,並據此決定供應商早期參與的作法。製造商可依此選擇應加入協同研發環境的供應商,並衡量對產品開發週期時間的影響。其次,製造商除判斷供應商早期參與之方式,亦得依據顧客需求,從協同設計鏈中選擇參與特定產品研發之供應商。故本文整合品質機能展開與動態規劃法提出顧客導向的數量化模式,有助於製造商根據委外設計的成本限制,選擇能夠最佳化顧客滿意水準的供應商參與產品研發流程。此數量模式可協助企業針對不同顧客的需求,以及供應商能力限制,選擇早期參與產品研發的供應商。
本論文提出設計鏈中供應商評估與選擇模式,能促使製造商依據不同供應商特性決定早期參與的作法,並以顧客需求決定特定產品研發之供應商。此模式有助於同時考量顧客對於品質與研發時間的要求,並可做為後續供應商選擇相關模式建構時之參考。
Collaborative design and early supplier involvement are widely applied to improve product development process in order to reduce product development cycle time and cost. Information system which enables the sharing of product development knowledge among design chain members has been the main research agenda in the early stages of collaborative design research. However, there is a lack of discussion in the perspectives of strategy and process, especially the supplier selection which impacts the combination of design chain. It is necessary to build a numerical approach and systematic methodology for this issue.
The purpose of this research is to analyze the trend of collaborative design and practical application based on co-citation and empirical study firstly. Based on the previous articles analysis on collaborative design, it is observed that Internet and object, design model for project/system, design rule with agent and human-computer interface are important foundations in collaborative design field. The trends of academic research focus on integrated information system, early customer and supplier involvement process development, and collaborative design chain implementation. According to the empirical study, the framework of collaborative design implementation consists of three levels – the strategy level, the process level and the information level. The supplier selection is identified as an important issue through empirical studies
Furthermore, this article provides a systematic methodology to evaluate and select appropriate suppliers involving design chain via the supplier relationship matrix and technical novelty. In addition, the manufacturer could decide what kind of collaboration is suitable and measure the improved product development cycle time. This research finally presents a numerical approach which is based on customer-oriented perspective, quality function deployment and supplier collaborative capability evaluation, to select appropriate suppliers participating in product collaborative development process in order to optimize customer satisfaction level under the limited cost. The proposed supplier selection model could provide the manufacturers with some useful suggestions to implement collaborative design and early supplier involvement effectively.
