現今設計提案受限於開發時間及成本的考量,設計師在提案時,所呈現的展示內容以精緻模型與觸碰式螢幕為主,而精緻模型與觸碰式螢幕在提案時是分開進行評估,所以客戶無法瞭解產品的原貌,因此本研究將應用擴增實境系統於設計提案中。
研究進行中透過設計師現況訪談,針對設計製造為主的家電產業,以該公司中具有提案經驗的設計師做深入訪談,訪談結束後利用KJ法進行歸納,並從中整理出實驗指標作為評估擴增實境系統是否適用於設計提案中,其實驗指標為,產品外觀真實性、產品操作互動性與介面操作逼真性。在經過16位具有提案經驗的工業設計師實驗後其結果如下:
(一)產品外觀真實性:
擴增實境系統在產品外觀真實性上可模擬出與真實產品相近的顏色、造型與尺寸,但在材質模擬上因受限於是虛擬物件所以無法模擬出鏡面材質。
(二)產品操作互動性:
擴增實境系統在產品操作互動性上可模擬出與真實產品相近的操作機能與產品內部配置,但無法觸摸產品的外觀。
(三)介面操作逼真性:
擴增實境系統在介面操作逼真性上可模擬出與真實產品相近的顯示面板回饋與產品運作情形,但在操作按鍵時無法模擬出與真實產品相同的壓力回饋。
經實驗結果顯示,擴增實境系統在觸摸產品外觀與按鍵壓力回饋上皆無法模擬真實產品,而擴增實境系統無法模擬的部分則是精緻模型的優勢,因此在設計提案時擴增實境系統可輔助精緻模型來進行提案,將可呈現出接近真實產品的產品模型。
Concerning to cost and time on products developing, design proposal always focus on modeling and touch panel to simulate manipulation. It is the key point that makes the clients can’t realize the whole products. This study tries to address the points and apply Augmented Reality technologies on design proposal to recover it.
The study makes interviews with professional designers who serve in electrical appliance manufacturing company and conclude the contents via KJ method. Furthermore, conclude three points for evaluation; (1)The reality of products’ apparel(2)The interaction :(3)The reality on interface manipulation:
The result which concluded from the 16 professional designers were described as follow:
(1)The reality of products’ apparel:
The system based on augmented reality simulates color, shape and the full-size close to real products. However, it is hard to simulate the mirror texture.
(2)The interaction :
The system simulate the manipulation on each function , however, it is still impossible to simulate the tactile modality.
(3)The reality on interface manipulation:
It is possible to simulate the manipulation and information displaying but the force feedback during the manipulation.
The result addresses it is impossible to simulate the force feedback as touching the virtual products and button pressing. Therefore, the advantage of the system is to practice a whole manipulation that the model can’t do before. The study illustrates a strategy mixing the real model with augmented reality to make a design proposal. That will recover the defect we mention aboved.
