With the development of knowledge, color has generally been regarded as an important element in product design, environment design, and symbol design, that is due to people start to pay more attention on the color theories and principles in their daily life. However, there are some problems that cannot combine those different colors into daily life efficiently, understanding how to display the color in an advantageous method, and low down other negative effects. Now, most of studies are focus on the visual physiology and physical science, seldom discuss about the relation of chromatic adaptation and visual sense.
This study can be divided into pre-test experiments, subjective interviews and the main experiment. This study will develop the chromatic adaptation with human center theory. In order to analyze the value of developing chromatic adaptation into our daily life, the study uses an experimental method to compare the reaction time with three primary colors. And the subjective interviews are with the purpose to explore the possible direction of development of color adaptation. The main experiment will use the three variable factors, color light on LED display, the color of Landolt-C rings and the five times to make the chromatic adaptation task. The results show that the five colors light on LED display with those two variable factors are significant. Finally, this study will propose an innovated color design principle with chromatic adaptation for widespread use.
