  • The aim of this research is to assess the effects of organo-modified reservoir sludge (OMRS) on the properties of RPMs by replacing a portion of the total cement content with OMRS particles. Correspondingly, compressive strengths and permeability ratios of the reactive powder concrete (RPC) with various percentages of organo-modified reservoir sludge were measured and compared to that of plain RPC. The flow value, apparent porosity, water absorption, apparent specific gravity and bulk density were measured to further understand the effect of OMRS on the properties of the RPCs. Plain reactive powder mortar with a flow value of 135% and compressive strength of 77MPa was used as a baseline to compare the results of different tests performed on the RPMs containing various percentages of OMRS.
    Keywords: OMRS; Reactive Powder Mortars.
