When cold atomic matter waves form atomic ensemble in space, temperature
and size are the macroscopic characteristics of cold atomic ensemble, which
different temperatures correspond to different atomic sizes. This thesis mainly
discusses how the finite-sized wave package of the cold atomic matter wave affect
the Raman transition in the Raman transition system.
The cold atomic ensemble wave package corresponds to the momentum
distribution of the entire atomic ensemble. If an atomic ensemble is cold and
dilute enough, there could be no interactions between individual atoms.
Therefore, the atomic properties obtained by measuring the atomic ensemble
could be consistent with the atomic properties obtained by measuring a single
atom, and the Raman transition It only involves the behavior of a single atom, so
by measuring the response (represented as a density map) of a single atom under
the Raman transition, the behavior of individual atoms in the entire atomic
ensemble can be understood.
