由於網際網路的快速崛起，網路所能提供的支援或服務也漸漸成為大家討論的焦點。而在校園資訊管理系統中，由於學校的空間使用單位眾多，各單位的空間使用情況不易掌握，因此，對於校園空間資訊系統的建立已刻不容緩，如何對於校園空間進行管理？如何能掌握最新及正確的資訊？這些都是為了提供學校作為未來決策的依據。校園空間之管理，需要有先進的技術及工具，並且以科學化、標準化的管理方式來進行系統分析、設計，若能在網際網路地理資訊系統的環境下發展，將各使用單位之管理者以線上方式進行異地維護，資料庫集中管理，必然可即時提供最新的空間資訊。
　　本研究對於校園之空間管理模式從原始資料的搜集、資料轉換、數化，並對於整體空間之分配及管理上，以資訊系統的模式來分析、設計之實作，藉以達到校園空間管理之電腦網路化。面對校務資訊的快速發展，校園空間管理單位對於多元資料的整合及管理上的需要也漸漸受到重視，雖然部份資料已數位化，管理人員或經辦人員要取用這些電子資料已方便許多，但若能將資料透過電腦網路加以連結、分析、整合、統計，不僅可以使資料的價值加以提昇，更可以達到資訊整合應用之領域。

　Because of the fast emergence of the Internet, its support or service to be offered has gradually attracted everybody to the area. The information management system of the campus is hard to design because that there are many different requirements coming from different departments. So, it is necessary to build the campus spatial information system. But, how can we manage the campus spatial and handle the spatial information? All these are essential problems for the campus planning. The management of the campus space needs advanced technology and tools along with network analysis to designs by the way of scientific process and standardized management, Those objectives can be carried out under the environment of Web GIS. The administrator of different departments can maintain database on-line and offer the latest spatial information immediately.

　This research collects the latest information and digitized maps, and then builds an information system to analyze and design to make the campus spatial information system work over the Internet network. Face to the fast development of school administration, the data of campus spatial needs to be integrated and managed gradually. It is convenient to get the electronic data from campus spatial information system. Certainly, if the digital data of the campus spatial information system can be linked, analyzed, integrated, and gathered statistically with the computer network, it will increase the value of the digital data and extend the application of campus spatial information system.
