隨著科技不斷地以各種形式融入人們的生活以後,幼童接觸到電腦也已是不可避免的趨勢,根據美國市調機構Gartner的研究更指出,2015年預估將有超過5成的15歲以下學童擁有配有觸控螢幕的電腦,因為他們相信「教育領域」與觸碰螢幕電腦結合的潛能很大,他們相信美國學區 5 年內可能會有高達 50至75%的電腦採用觸碰式螢幕,若其研究成真,那我們的下一代將對使用觸碰式螢幕不會感到不適應,並且會認為使用觸控輸入是非常自然的事。然而平板電腦在使用上,從人因工程的角度來看,明顯存在著肌肉骨骼不適的相關問題,這當中可能包括手臂支撐電腦、手肘與肩部靜態負荷等問題。
有鑑於此,本研究使用實地觀察與快速上肢評估法(RULA)探討幼童操作平板電腦之操作行為與作業姿勢對於肌肉骨骼不適症之影響。本研究結果顯示,幼童操作平板電腦時其姿勢之彎曲程度與操作傳統電腦時有很大的差異,乃由於幼童握持姿勢與螢幕傾斜度過於水平的關係,這將提高罹患肌肉骨骼不適症之風險,而經由輔具設計的搭配,則確實可改善幼童操作平板電腦之身體姿勢。
With the technology in various forms into the lives of people, young children come into contact with computers is an inevitable trend, according to market research firm Gartner study also pointed out that 2015 is expected to reach more than 50% of 15 under the age of students has a computer with touch screen, because they believe that the field of education with the touch screen computer combined with great potential, they believe that the school district within five years may be as high as 50-75% of the computer using the touchscreen, if their research to come true, that our next generation will use the touch screen does not feel up to, and that is a very natural thing to use touch input. However, the Tablet PC in use, from a human factors point of view, obviously there are issues related to musculoskeletal discomfort, which may include computer arm support, elbow and shoulder static load.
For this reason, this study used field observations and rapid upper limb assessment (RULA) to investigate the operational behavior of young children operating the Tablet PC operating position for musculoskeletal discomfort. The results of this study show that the degree of bending of its posture in young children operating Tablet PC operating traditional computer there is a great difference is due to the level of young children holding the posture and the screen tilt too, which will increase the risk of musculoskeletal discomfort the risk of the disease, through the aids with, you really can improve young children operating the posture of the tablet PC.
