本研究主要目的為：(1)了解高中職學生之憂鬱情緒的情形；(2) 探討高中職學生之身體意象和憂鬱情緒的關聯；(3)探討高中職學生之社經地位和憂鬱情緒的關聯；(4)探討高中職學生之性別不同，其身體意象與憂鬱情緒的情形。研究的資料來自「台灣教育長期追蹤資料庫」（TEPS）之第三波學生與家長問卷，研究對象為台灣地區94 學年度就讀高中/高職二年級學生，研究調查期間為2005/10/01～2006/01/31，經多階段分層抽樣，樣本數共為14,083人，將所得資料以描述統計、皮爾遜積差相關、多元迴歸分析之巢式迴歸模型技術等統計方法處理與分析。

本研究結果顯示：(1) 高中職生知覺身高太矮、知覺體重太輕、知覺體重太重、外貌長相滿意度是影響高中職生憂鬱情緒的因素，而知覺身高太高對高中職生憂鬱情緒則沒有影響；然而同時考量知覺體重太重與外貌長相滿意度時，其對高中職生憂鬱情緒的影響會消失；(2) 同時考量父母社經地位—包含母親教育程度、父親教育程度、家庭平均月收入、母親職業聲望、父親職業聲望，此五項不是影響高中職生憂鬱情緒的重要因素；(3) 高中職女生的憂鬱情緒比男生的憂鬱情緒程度為高；(4) 知覺體重太輕的高中職男生，與憂鬱情緒有統計上之顯著影響；女生則無。

The purposes of this study were to investigate: (a) the situation of depressive mood of high school students; (b) the relationship between body image and depressive mood of high school students; (c) the relationship between social economical status and depressive mood of high school students. The data of this study was from Taiwan Education Panel Survey, 2005~2006. The sample size consisted of 14083 high school students by using a multistage stratified sampling. Hierarchical regression was used to analyze the data.
The results showed that: (a) high school students feel too short, too light, too heavy and appearance satisfaction are the important factors on depressive mood; (b) high school students feel too high has no significant influence on depressive mood; (c) there was no relationship between feeling too heavy and depressive mood when controlling the effect of appearance satisfaction; (d) social economical status have no relation with depressive mood; (e) depressive mood of female students was higher than that of male students; (f) feeling too thin for male students has no significant influence on depressive mood.
